Gallery37 North (G37N) is a creative development programme investing in north Birmingham and its young artists through masterclasses, hyper local commissions, residencies and workshops; powered by Saathi House and Punch.

G37 COMMISSIONS
This year Gallery37 North will be transforming areas in North Birmingham with commissioned artists and arts-led organisations, who will deliver public art projects and engage with local communities from January - October 2021.
Saathi House is working with a range of local partners and artists/arts organisations to display £100k worth of artworks across the public realm, from high streets, shopping centres, waterways and parks.
This commission programme also launches our upcoming three-year
Gallery37 North (G37N) arts residency programme for young people.

| MURAL |
SAATHI HOUSE
International artist Katy O unveiled an incredibly stunning mural outside Saathi House, which she has produced while working closely with Saathi House members and local residents. The mural celebrates the many people who use the community hub, highlighting the vibrancy and diversity of our collective unity.

| DOWNLOW |
NORTH BIRMINGHAM
A Lozells-based programme bridging multiple locations through participatory creative activities and social action. This project will kickstart the creation of up to twenty new public artworks.

| LIGHT NIGHT |
BIRCHFIELD
A visual artist will create three / four light-based, highly visual, LED, neon or projection installations celebrating the heritage and cultural diversity of the Birchfield local area.

SAATHI HOUSE, ASTON
A mural will be designed and painted at Saathi House in Aston, featuring themes and subjects proposed through workshop sessions held on site.

REMASTERING MOTHERS |
ERDINGTON
An experienced artist will create a sculpture to celebrate the music and legacy of Erdington’s “Mothers” music venue during the 1960s-70s.

NORTH BIRMINGHAM
Hip-Hop dancers will showcase an innovative concept / event that will be showcased at Birmingham International Dance Festival 2021.

| WANDER WATER |
PERRY BARR
Female-artists respond to the female experience of walking local canals, providing the opportunity to change perceptions and increase footfall along Birmingham’s canals, promoting health and wellbeing.

G37 MASTERCLASSES
Monthly from November 2020 through to 2021, we're hosting special guests, artists and mentors from around the world to deliver online G37 Masterclasses, to inspire the next generation of creatives in the West Midlands.
All masterclasses are currently being held online and anyone interested can register to learn new creative skills. There's also mini masterclasses being published on Instagram and TikTok.
