Girl's Youth Club
Over the past year, We have developed a girls’ youth programme designed to create a safe, empowering and supportive space for young women. Through workshops, discussions and creative activities, the programme has helped girls build confidence, develop life skills and form positive friendships within their community.

The girls’ youth club was established to provide a safe, supportive and empowering space for young women within the community. Open to girls, the club offers regular weekly sessions focused on building confidence, improving wellbeing and encouraging positive peer connections. The programme was created in response to the need for a dedicated female-led environment where girls can openly express themselves, develop life skills and feel heard and valued. Through a range of structured activities, discussions and creative workshops, the youth club aims to nurture personal growth, resilience and a strong sense of belonging.

We’ve had around 50 new girls register for youth sessions in the past year. Throughout the year, we delivered workshops in partnership with the British Red Cross and Historic England. We also ran school holiday programmes during half-term and the summer, contributing to hundreds of hours of youth engagement.

Key Achievements include
-

Delivered workshops on confidence, wellbeing and resilience
-

-
Supported girls in building friendships and leadership skills

Case Studies
One young person who initially struggled with confidence began regularly attending the sessions. Over time she started contributing to discussions and eventually helped lead a group activity during a workshop. This showed significant growth in confidence and leadership.
One attendee struggled with managing her emotions and often found it difficult to stay engaged in structured activities. Through consistent support and participation in sessions, she developed better ways to express herself and showed noticeable improvement in her behaviour and focus.
A participant discovered a strong interest in creative activities during the sessions. Through arts and crafts workshops, she gained confidence in expressing herself and began sharing her work with others and teaching them, which boosted her self-esteem and sense of achievement.
An older participant within the group began taking on small leadership roles, such as helping to organise activities and support younger girls. This helped her develop responsibility, communication skills and confidence in leading others.
