Shaid Parveen

Shaid Parveen is a lawyer and an advocate with a proven track record for employability, equity and
justice in the legal profession and higher education. She is the founding Chair of the Birmingham Law
Society’s Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) subcommittee and serves on the Law Society of England and Wales’ Women Solicitors Network Committee.

At Aston University, Shaid is the Director of Aston Law Clinic, Associate Professorial Teaching
Fellow and  Associate Dean for Development and Engagement for  Law and Social Sciences. Her
leadership extends beyond academia as she has held Non- Executive Director roles within the
private and third sector.
